Homeless Man Says He Won’t Go into Supportive Housing for Fear of Overdosing Alone

New “Housing First” is an utter failure and must be scrapped. The latest data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development proves it. Even the drug addicts say this not an affordable housing issue. In fact some people are now afraid to go into low barrier “permanent support housing” situations because they know drug use and overdose deaths are rampant behind closed doors. They don’t want to die alone in these inhumane conditions. “Housing First” and “harm reduction” policies are fueling this crisis. When will King County and Seattle leaders start course correcting? Liberal Media is Turning This cartoon in the Seattle Times sums up “Housing First” and how it’s been fueling the crisis on the streets. Even Read More ›

Repeat Offender Back in Court for Building Encampment in Seattle Park

Breaking Homeless man Steve Irwin was back in court Wednesday morning after being arrested again at Seattle’s Dr. Jose Rizal Park. He’s accused of violating his no trespass order by building an encampment in the woods. Cops accuse Irwin of destroying the park and says he needs to remain behind bars. Irwin’s public defender blamed the media for blowing this case out of proportion and wanted him released so he could stay with friends. Homeless outreach group We Heart Seattle begged Judge Damon Shadid to order Irwin into mental health treatment. But Judge Shadid said “case law” does not allow him to do that and Irwin has to voluntarily enter treatment on his own. Bail was set at $5,000. Irwin Read More ›

Repeat Offender Arrested Again in Seattle Park, Revealing Failure of Court System

Breaking Tuesday afternoon, Seattle Police arrested Steve Irwin again and led him out of Dr. Jose Rizal Park in handcuffs after he allegedly violated a court order banning him from public parks. Since 2023, this repeat offender has been arrested multiple times and charged for trespassing, stealing an excavator, and damaging park property. But King County activist judges keep lowering bail or releasing him with just a slap on the wrist. This is clearly the epitome of a broken system that is failing Irwin. April 2024 Arrest It’s hard to keep track of Irwin’s arrests in Dr. Jose Rizal Park. Here is one in April 2024. January 2024 Encounter Here is another encounter in January 2024. Residents Ready to Protest After Closure of Controversial Seattle Homeless Shelter Delayed

Breaking Chinatown-ID residents are furious and ready to protest after Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell delays closure of controversial DESC shelter for homeless drug addicts in Little Saigon. Community advocates say this “low barrier” facility is a magnet for crime, chaos, and death. Look at this hoard of addicts smoking and dealing fentanyl. “There is about 30 to 40 to 50 people — I can’t tell, they’re all massed together — standing right outside on the corner,” describes former City Councilmember Tanya Woo. Others are starting fires to stay warm on the corner of 12th Avenue and Weller Street. “They’re not really homeless people, they’re just people who are selling goods, buying stolen stuff, and then using drugs,” says community activist Read More ›

Drug Use and Black Market Activity Overwhelm Seattle’s Chinatown-ID

New Year, same problems in Seattle’s Chinatown-ID. The open air drug use and thriving black market of stolen goods is worse than ever. Over the weekend, cops cleared the streets several times. But all the madness is now back. Rinse and repeat. Expect more mom-and-pop businesses to exit the CID this year. Neighbors are also asking why elected officials, including Mayor Bruce Harrell, are allowing this marginalized community to become the city’s human dumping ground. The mayor remains MIA and the Asian American community is losing confidence in his leadership. Meanwhile, Tammy Morales quit on District 2 and officially exits the council this week. Her colleagues have until January 20 to find a replacement.

Seattle First Responders Save Fentanyl Addict from Overdose

Overdose City Early Sunday morning, first responders saved the life of a fentanyl addict tweaking at the corner of 12th Ave & Jackson St. in Seattle’s Little Saigon neighborhood. The protocol is transport them to Harborview Medical Center and then stabilize. But this woman will likely refuse treatment and be released back on the streets. Why do our politicians keep allowing this insane cycle to continue? Conditions at Seattle Apartment Complex for Homeless Continue to Cause Concern

Exclusive Animal abuse, sex trafficking, and open-air drug use are overwhelming a Seattle apartment complex for the homeless. After months of mounting complaints, the King County Regional Homelessness Authority is being blamed for creating this chaotic situation. Homeless Resident Punched Dog This is the same Capitol Hill apartment complex that made news last month after a homeless resident was caught on camera punching a dog. Residents Moved from Burien Encampment Back in October, I first told you about this problematic drug encampment being moved from Burien into this Seattle apartment complex.
