Grand Re-Opening Hijacked Far-left activists with Stop The Sweeps #Seattle delayed the start of Saturday’s Ballard Commons Park festivities by more than 30 minutes. Some of them were swearing in front of children and slamming Councilmember Dan Strauss (@CMDanStrauss) and Mayor Bruce Harrell (@MayorofSeattle) for their policy on homeless encampment removals. @SeattlePark‘s leaders including Superintendent AP Diaz (@SeattleShines) were also on hand but their speaking engagement was cut from the program due to the disruption. Crazy Town After numerous fires, shootings, and crimes associated with homeless encampments on @WSDOT properties in #Chinatown-ID, @KC_RHA CEO Marc Dones said outreach workers were now focusing on the neighborhood. But he wouldn’t say which camps or when it would all be cleared. He also failed to mention the plan for dealing with new campers who move in and add to the total. Exclusive Late Saturday night, a massive inferno engulfed multiple tents inside the unsanctioned SODO homeless encampment near the Salvation Army shelter at 6th Ave & Airport Way S. This is the site of Dow Constantine’s (@kcexec) failed HOMELESS MEGAPLEX. He tried to ram the project through last year without consulting the surrounding #Chinatown-ID neighbors, but the community fought back and won. Happening Now Earlier in the week, the notorious 3rd Ave and Cherry St. encampment near #Seattle City Hall was gone. Once again removed by crews and proof that it can be done right away if @Mayorofseattle wants immediate action. But as I predicted, within days the so called “trap tents” are now back. @Virgofolkie decided to tag along so she could see the madness for herself.
