Far-Left Activists Set up New Encampments, Accuse Officials of Being Complicit in Deaths

Grand Re-Opening Hijacked Far-left activists with Stop The Sweeps #Seattle delayed the start of Saturday’s Ballard Commons Park festivities by more than 30 minutes. Some of them were swearing in front of children and slamming Councilmember Dan Strauss (@CMDanStrauss) and Mayor Bruce Harrell (@MayorofSeattle) for their policy on homeless encampment removals. @SeattlePark‘s leaders including Superintendent AP Diaz (@SeattleShines) were also on hand but their speaking engagement was cut from the program due to the disruption. But multiple angry neighbors pushed back against the activists and the celebration resumed. I’ve got a full report coming up. @GovInslee @kcexec @seattlecouncil @KCCouncil Growing Concern Look at the signs put up by Stop The Sweeps #Seattle. This FAR-LEFT activist group is well known for Read More ›

Outreach Workers Say They’re Clearing Encampments, But New Tents Being Built in International District

Crazy Town After numerous fires, shootings, and crimes associated with homeless encampments on @WSDOT properties in #Chinatown-ID, @KC_RHA CEO Marc Dones said outreach workers were now focusing on the neighborhood. But he wouldn’t say which camps or when it would all be cleared. He also failed to mention the plan for dealing with new campers who move in and add to the total. Homeless are now moving onto WSDOT properties, knowing they won’t be moved. There’s still no plan to get in front of these encampments before they spiral out of control. There’s also a problematic RV, feeding power to tents. Sunday afternoon, I saw several new tents being pitched on King St. @MayorofSeattle has the power and authority to Read More ›

Inferno in SODO Homeless Encampment

Exclusive Late Saturday night, a massive inferno engulfed multiple tents inside the unsanctioned SODO homeless encampment near the Salvation Army shelter at 6th Ave & Airport Way S. This is the site of Dow Constantine’s (@kcexec) failed HOMELESS MEGAPLEX. He tried to ram the project through last year without consulting the surrounding #Chinatown-ID neighbors, but the community fought back and won. But the land is still being leased by King County and the illegal encampment continues to be a blight and danger to the community. What a drain on the good men and women of @SeattleFire. Another encampment fire in District 2 and no sign of MIA Councilmember Morales( @CMTammyMorales.) Where is Marc Dones and the @KC_RHA outreach? #Seattle @MayorofSeattle Read More ›

“Trap Tents” Back After Third Avenue Encampment Sweep

Happening Now Earlier in the week, the notorious 3rd Ave and Cherry St. encampment near #Seattle City Hall was gone. Once again removed by crews and proof that it can be done right away if @Mayorofseattle wants immediate action. But as I predicted, within days the so called “trap tents” are now back. @Virgofolkie decided to tag along so she could see the madness for herself. Literally in the first two minutes of our walk through, a guy tried to snatch the iPhone out of my hands, then another dude tossed fireworks at us, and a well known fella on this street tried to peg us with a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Most of the people we saw today were Read More ›

Encampment Fires Continue, KCRHA Board Member “doesn’t know” if Living Conditions are Compassionate

Massive Liability Tuesday morning, another INFERNO at the King Street #Chinatown-ID homeless encampment. This is the same @WSDOT property that’s now been the scene of nearly a dozen fires this month alone. In my over 20 year journalism career, I have never witnessed so many elected officials fail a community like this. Asian American immigrant business owners continue to be victimized. High school students at Summit Sierra are now walking home past this disaster. @KC_RHA CEO Marc Dones continues to offer no timeline on when it will be cleared. @CMTammyMorales being called out again for being MIA. Kim Nguyen owns Vuu’s Beauty School right next to this dangerous encampment. Nguyen is challenging Tammy Morales to show up for her CID Read More ›

Downtown Tents Used for Sale of Illicit Goods, Not Shelter

Housing First is Failing Seattle Times reporting @KC_RHA outreach workers downtown say many tents there are not used by homeless people as shelter to live and sleep, but for the sale of illicit goods. I’ve been reporting on this with VIDEO EVIDENCE for months.@mayorofseattle @CMAndrewJLewis @govinslee @kcexec “We can all see with our own eyes whether there are few people or not living on sidewalks and alleys and doorways. The complicating factor is that some of the disorder in downtown has been called “homelessness” but is not caused only by people without housing.” -John Scholes, CEO Downtown Seattle Association Whack a Mole I have never witnessed an encampment in #Seattle return this often. Tents along 3rd Ave near City Hall Read More ›

Meth Lab Fire at Encampment in International District met with Inaction

Breaking Thursday morning, another inferno at a meth lab homeless encampment on @WSDOT property. How many more times will #Chinatown-International District be victimized before the city and state take action? @GovInslee @MayorofSeattle @CMTammyMorales @KC_RHA @WAStateCommerce #Seattle How Much Longer? This same encampment went up in flames earlier this month. If a meth lab with weapons, drugs, and guns isn’t enough, what will it take for elected officials to deal with these extremely dangerous encampments on @WSDOT property? @KC_RHA What a Find @SeattlePD confirming #Chinatown-International District fire on February 9th was meth related. Neighbors are so sick of @wsdot and @kc_rha‘s empty promises. What else will it take for the state to finally clear this public safety disaster? @GovInslee @MayorofSeattle What Read More ›
