Permanent supporting housing, a hallmark of the Housing First approach, fails due to a lack of treatment requirements, inadequate support and oversight, public safety issues, and ineffective financial incentives. The result is poor outcomes for both residents and surrounding communities.
Nothing to Hide I’m investigating several criminal incidents related to the notorious Plymouth Housing/PorchLight homeless drug campus in Bellevue. More serious problems are now spilling onto the nearby Polaris at Eastgate apartments. On Tuesday, I visited PorchLight to get a better sense of what’s going on. As you can see in this video, I thought the interaction was cordial. But as soon as I left, they called the police on me. Btw, Bellevue cops are watching everything on street cameras. I’ve got nothing to hide. …
Manhunt Underway Manhunt is on for a machete wielding maniac accused of attacking a resident inside Bellevue’s Plymouth Crossing Apts. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with tattoos all over his face and body. The female resident suffered minor injuries. This just the latest horrific incident at this permanent supportive housing facility in the Eastgate neighborhood. Credit @FactoriaLLS for being first on this story. NEW: Over the weekend, "Seattle Dances" raised more than $1.5 million dollars for Plymouth Housing, a controversial non-profit claiming to be solving homelessness. Crashing the Party Over the weekend, “Seattle Dances” raised more than $1.5 million dollars for Plymouth Housing, a controversial non-profit claiming to be solving homelessness. Organizers even managed to rope in local journalists and “celebrities” to push their agenda. But critics crashed this party with a protest, to educate Seattle’s donor class about what’s really happening inside these so called “permanent supportive housing” facilities. Just look at the 911 calls and police reports that continue to show a pattern of crime, chaos, and death whenever Plymouth buildings are built in communities. I’m dropping a more in-depth story later today. Here’s a preview. NEW: Plymouth Housing is one of the most …
Every legislative session in Washington state, a few infamous bills absorb all the time and attention that ordinary citizens can reasonably devote to restraining their government — while still minding the important business of their own lives. This year, it’s a “millionaires’ tax” (also known as an unconstitutional state income tax), and a “modernization” of law enforcement that would ensure county-elected sheriffs serve at the behest of an unelected state board. Rightfully, the people are fiercely fighting these bad ideas. Meanwhile, about 350 other bills are quietly passing into law, many of them just as bad. Most of us won’t even know about these laws until we cut ourselves on their sharp edges while minding the important business …
Profit Machine Plymouth Housing is one of the most notorious players in WA’s homeless industrial complex. It is a massive profit machine with huge backing from influential business leaders and politicians. It is constantly touted by many Democrats as the ideal model to address the street crisis and help people regain self sufficiency. But listen to this executive admit there is ZERO incentive to help formerly homeless people find jobs and careers. That’s because if clients make too much money, they wouldn’t qualify for taxpayer subsidized housing. In other words, everyone is a dollar sign to Plymouth, and the goal is to keep them warehoused as long as possible. The longer people stay, the more money Plymouth can bank. Extremely vulnerable people are …
Making the Problem Worse The homeless drug crisis is out of control in Seattle. And it’s now evident Mayor Katie Wilson is going to make the problem worse. During her first State of the City address, she talked about building more housing and shelter. But no solutions to deal with mental illness or drug addiction ravaging the city. NEW: Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson is giving her first State of City address today. Like all mayors, she will say the city is headed in the right direction. What else are they supposed to say? Meanwhile in Green Lake, homeless drug addicts are sprawled out along the running trails.… https://t.co/joluTB2fda pic.twitter.com/6WyYpY9s56— Jonathan Choe (@choeshow) February 17, 2026 Sweep, Sweep, Sweep Aside from changing some policy …
Harm Reduction In Action Plymouth Housing continues to be a blight on the downtown Seattle community. Look at all the drug action in front of the Stewart Street location. This is “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” in action. Staff give out free drug supplies and no one is required to go into detox or find jobs. So they hang out all day in their apartments and do fentanyl. In some cases, dealers actually live in the units. It’s one stop shopping and a death trap. If any of these so called “permanent supportive” apartments are pitched for your community, fight like heck to keep it out. Unless you like to live next to crime, chaos, and death everyday. 911 calls to these places are also off the charts. You can blame spineless woke …
What Is Redmond Thinking? Construction workers finishing up the AMLI Redmond Way luxury apartments in downtown say the company had no idea the city would allow Plymouth Housing to build right next door. There’s already concern potential renters will avoid the AMLI once they realize Plymouth facilities attract an inordinate amount of crime, open air-drug use, and death into the community. Along with dozens of businesses, there’s also a daycare right next door. And with light rail nearby, it’s an easy commute to Microsoft and Meta. The tech workers are gonna love being around fentanyl addicts and dealers. No idea what Mayor Angela Birney and the city council is thinking here. They’ve been captured by the homeless industrial complex. Goodbye Redmond as …
Exclusive Controversial homeless services provider Plymouth Housing banned me, We Heart Seattle’s Andrea Suarez and podcaster Brandi Kruse from a secret ground breaking ceremony in Redmond, WA. But I exposed them anyway. “Our Faces Were Plastered Everywhere” On Wednesday, Plymouth hosted a private ceremony at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was invite only. Sources told me photos of our faces were plastered everywhere and security was told to keep us out. Brandi Kruse’s Reporting Kruse has been annihilating Plymouth. Just … wild. Governor Bob Ferguson is celebrating Plymouth Housing, just days after @choeshow exposed the taxpayer-funded entity for covering up overdoses, deaths, and crime. https://t.co/5xph0uW8Si …
Damage Control Embattled Plymouth Housing CEO Karen Lee is doing damage control after our series of reports highlighting all the crime, chaos, and death in her Bellevue, WA facility. I have obtained an email Lee recently sent to Bellevue councilmembers. Based on her talking points and spin, she appears to think they’re gullible and stupid. #BREAKING: I have now officially been trespassed from Plymouth Housing's(@PlymouthHousing) Bellevue facility in the Eastgate neighborhood. Breaking Bellevue homeless murder suspect Samuel Hitchcock has been arrested. In a joint effort with the United States Marshals Service and the Portland Police Bureau, regional partners arrested Hitchcock near a residential area in Portland. More details will be made available during a 3pm press conference at Bellevue Police HQ. Bellevue Police arrest man connected to July homicide https://t.co/LvKu1KnO78— The Bellevue Police Department (WA) (@BvuePD) September 17, 2025 A Massive Black Eye This has been a massive black eye for the Porchlight/Plymouth Housing campus in the Eastgate neighborhood. This property triggers the most 911 calls in the city and is constantly being blamed by neighbors for open-air drug use and other crimes. UPDATE: The Bellevue …
No Regrets King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci admits she helped usher in the problematic Bellevue Plymouth Housing/Porchlight campus. I asked her point blank if she has any regrets allowing the facility into the community since it triggers the most 911 calls in the city. She did not answer my question directly but Balducci did defend the “Housing First” approach to solving the homeless drug crisis. Listen carefully in the end. She could only cite the former Silvercloud Inn location as the most successful “permanent supportive housing” facility in King County. That’s because it’s not being run by Plymouth. The Christian based Salvation Army is operator in Redmond. Notice the stark difference? NEW: After numerous problematic …
They Said It Would Be Safe It’s a daily occurrence at Bellevue’s Plymouth Housing/Porchlight campus. On Monday, witnesses say two people got into an argument at Plymouth and one woman brandished a knife. No one was injured. Tons of cops were called again, draining resources and taxpayer dollars from the community. This is “permanent supportive housing” in action. The crime, chaos, and death continues. City and county politicians lied to the community when they said it would be safe. Now it’s becoming a PR nightmare for them because residents are finally demanding change. NEW: Bellevue's Plymouth Housing/Porchlight campus continues to be a cancer on the community. On Sunday, a non-verbal Plymouth resident allegedly made terroristic …
Plymouth Resident Threatens Staff Bellevue’s Plymouth Housing/Porchlight campus continues to be a cancer on the community. On Sunday, a non-verbal Plymouth resident allegedly made terroristic threats. He scribbled on the wall that he would shoot staff with a pistol and held a weapon in his hand. Problematic Plymouth After numerous problematic incidents at the Plymouth Housing/PorchLight campus in Bellevue, more neighbors are starting to scrutinize this facility and are now demanding accountability. This Eastgate location triggers the most 911 calls in the city and is responsible for drug overdoses, fights, and recently housed a homeless murder suspect who remains on the loose. Some of the clients are so unhinged, they will accost and menace you for no reason. That’s exactly what happened to me earlier this year. So where are all the politicians, far-left activists, and clueless neighbors who allowed this cancer into the community? Housing First Fails The homeless industrial complex is trying to latch on to more locations. The politicians backing …
Killer on the Loose The Bellevue homeless killer is still on the loose. Cops are asking for the public to keep an eye out for Samuel Hitchcock, the prime suspect in this case. He’s been spotted in the Seattle area since the body of Jason Clark was discovered on June 30 in the Eastgate neighborhood. Meanwhile, citizen journalists with FB group “Factoria Looks Like Shiit” are now looking into this case. They have some new insight into the suspect and victim’s connection to the Plymouth Housing/PorchLight homeless complex, which is right next to the homicide scene. The facility remains a crime magnet and cancer on the community. NEW: A manhunt is on for a homeless murder suspect with ties to the controversial Plymouth Housing/PorchLight complex in …
