Seattle Mayor Accused of Pushing Homeless Drug Addicts Out of Downtown Ahead of FIFA World Cup

Jonathan Choe and Brandi Kruse give an inside look into the open-air drug use, mental illness, and sale of drugs/stolen goods plaguing downtown Seattle streets and parks — problems city leaders now appear eager to move out of sight before hundreds of thousands of visitors arrive. An estimated ~750,000 people are expected to visit Seattle during the FIFA World Cup beginning in June 2026. In preparation, Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson is accused of pushing homeless encampments and activity out of the downtown core and into surrounding areas. Former Mayor Bruce Harrell faced criticism for similar tactics, including downtown sweeps and distributing visitor maps highlighting “safe” routes for tourists to avoid areas overwhelmed by homelessness, drug use, and crime.

Plymouth Housing Calls Cops After Peaceful Exchange and Journalist Questions

Nothing to Hide I’m investigating several criminal incidents related to the notorious Plymouth Housing/PorchLight homeless drug campus in Bellevue. More serious problems are now spilling onto the nearby Polaris at Eastgate apartments. On Tuesday, I visited PorchLight to get a better sense of what’s going on. As you can see in this video, I thought the interaction was cordial. But as soon as I left, they called the police on me. Btw, Bellevue cops are watching everything on street cameras. I’ve got nothing to hide.

Seattle Dances Raises More Than $1.5 Million for Controversial Plymouth Housing

Crashing the Party Over the weekend, “Seattle Dances” raised more than $1.5 million dollars for Plymouth Housing, a controversial non-profit claiming to be solving homelessness. Organizers even managed to rope in local journalists and “celebrities” to push their agenda. But critics crashed this party with a protest, to educate Seattle’s donor class about what’s really happening inside these so called “permanent supportive housing” facilities. Just look at the 911 calls and police reports that continue to show a pattern of crime, chaos, and death whenever Plymouth buildings are built in communities. I’m dropping a more in-depth story later today. Here’s a preview. Conflict of Interest I noticed a local TV anchor and radio reporter participating in this fundraiser. Now I Read More ›

House Bill 2266: Stupid Greed or False Philanthropy?

Every legislative session in Washington state, a few infamous bills absorb all the time and attention that ordinary citizens can reasonably devote to restraining their government — while still minding the important business of their own lives. This year, it’s a “millionaires’ tax” (also known as an unconstitutional state income tax), and a “modernization” of law enforcement that would ensure county-elected sheriffs serve at the behest of an unelected state board. Rightfully, the people are fiercely fighting these bad ideas. Meanwhile, about 350 other bills are quietly passing into law, many of them just as bad. Most of us won’t even know about these laws until we cut ourselves on their sharp edges while minding the important business of our Read More ›

Plymouth Housing Rep Admits Most Residents Will Not Seek Employment, Will Die There

Profit Machine Plymouth Housing is one of the most notorious players in WA’s homeless industrial complex. It is a massive profit machine with huge backing from influential business leaders and politicians. It is constantly touted by many Democrats as the ideal model to address the street crisis and help people regain self sufficiency. But listen to this executive admit there is ZERO incentive to help formerly homeless people find jobs and careers. That’s because if clients make too much money, they wouldn’t qualify for taxpayer subsidized housing. In other words, everyone is a dollar sign to Plymouth, and the goal is to keep them warehoused as long as possible. The longer people stay, the more money Plymouth can bank. Extremely Read More ›

New Seattle Mayor Continues to Pursue Failed Homeless Policies

Making the Problem Worse The homeless drug crisis is out of control in Seattle. And it’s now evident Mayor Katie Wilson is going to make the problem worse. During her first State of the City address, she talked about building more housing and shelter. But no solutions to deal with mental illness or drug addiction ravaging the city. Sweep, Sweep, Sweep Aside from changing some policy language, she is pretty much doing the same thing as the last mayor of Seattle. Sweep, sweep, sweep. And the game of Whack-A-Mole continues. Same Old Same Old Wilson’s spokesperson recently told the Seattle Times that, “the mayor isn’t pursuing a significant shift in encampment clearing strategies from the previous administration.” Ignoring the Service Read More ›

Drug Activity Flourishes Around Plymouth Housing Stewart Street Location

Harm Reduction In Action Plymouth Housing continues to be a blight on the downtown Seattle community. Look at all the drug action in front of the Stewart Street location. This is “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” in action. Staff give out free drug supplies and no one is required to go into detox or find jobs. So they hang out all day in their apartments and do fentanyl. In some cases, dealers actually live in the units. It’s one stop shopping and a death trap. If any of these so called “permanent supportive” apartments are pitched for your community, fight like heck to keep it out. Unless you like to live next to crime, chaos, and death everyday. 911 calls Read More ›

Plymouth Housing to Set Up Shop Right Next to Luxury Apartments, Child Daycare

What Is Redmond Thinking? Construction workers finishing up the AMLI Redmond Way luxury apartments in downtown say the company had no idea the city would allow Plymouth Housing to build right next door. There’s already concern potential renters will avoid the AMLI once they realize Plymouth facilities attract an inordinate amount of crime, open air-drug use, and death into the community. Along with dozens of businesses, there’s also a daycare right next door. And with light rail nearby, it’s an easy commute to Microsoft and Meta. The tech workers are gonna love being around fentanyl addicts and dealers. No idea what Mayor Angela Birney and the city council is thinking here. They’ve been captured by the homeless industrial complex. Goodbye Read More ›

Plymouth Housing Hides Event from Community Members, Bans Reporters

Exclusive Controversial homeless services provider Plymouth Housing banned me, We Heart Seattle’s Andrea Suarez and podcaster Brandi Kruse from a secret ground breaking ceremony in Redmond, WA. But I exposed them anyway. “Our Faces Were Plastered Everywhere” On Wednesday, Plymouth hosted a private ceremony at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was invite only. Sources told me photos of our faces were plastered everywhere and security was told to keep us out. Brandi Kruse’s Reporting Kruse has been annihilating Plymouth. Our Report on Low Barrier Housing So has Suarez. She helped me expose all the crime, chaos, and death at Plymouth facilities.
