Attempted Baseball Bat Attack

I know Mariners Opening Day is right around the corner, but what happened to me Wednesday morning had nothing to do with America’s past time. I’m on 3rd Ave near #Seattle City Hall, following up on the progress being made to keep tents off the streets. The area has been looking decent. Then I noticed a guy with a mini torch set up trying to light his meth pipe. I go over to interview him. As I am recording, this maniac wielding a baseball bat comes charging at me from across the street saying he wanted to kill me. You can hear the fellas warning me to get out of the area. I have never seen this dude in my life. I immediately take off running and flag down police. As officers looked into his background, they discovered he was wanted on a warrant and arrested him on the spot. I want to thank these amazing officers for doing their due diligence. And those two fellas really saved the day by warning me to get out. I’m fine. But this was the closest call yet. Parts of downtown are still out of control. I hope Councilmember Andrew Lewis (@CMAndrewJLewis) comes out to walk these streets with me. @MayorofSeattle @GovInslee @kcexec @Seattlecouncil @KCCouncil @CMSaraNelson @CMTMosqueda @D5Juarez @downtownseattle @SeattlePD

It’s Looking Better

Aside from the open air drug use which is everywhere, 3rd Ave & Cherry St is looking better. This is what I wanted to showcase Wednesday before the bat wielding maniac came at me. But once again, how long will this last? This is just one block from #Seattle City Hall. Mayor needs to keep this up.

I Made the Seattle Police Blotter

The real question now, will prosecutors go after this 47 year old suspect? Even then, will the judge release him right away or not? He also had an outstanding warrant. By the way, that is a full barrel Mizuno bat.
