More Businesses Close in Seattle’s Chinatown-ID Over Safety Concerns

Blame Crime, Encampments, and City Government Two more small businesses have ejected from Seattle’s Chinatown-ID. Henry’s Taiwan and Seattle Herbs & Grocery officially closed this month after being long time staples at the corner of 12th Ave & Jackson St. The owners blame socialist Mayor Katie Wilson’s inability to handle crime and homeless drug encampments in the area. Property values are also plummeting, threatening to further destroy the core identity of this Asian American community. I’m working on another update. Stay tuned.

Fraud and Destruction: How Seattle’s Chinatown-ID Is Fueling Its Own Demise

The Collapse of the Asian-American Community It’s the worst kept secret in Seattle’s Chinatown-ID. Asians are helping fuel the black market of stolen goods and they’re complicit in the destruction of their own community. While Nick Shirley was busting food stamp fraudsters down the street, I was documenting the ebb and flow of illegal commerce at the corner of 12th Ave & Jackson St. City leaders and cops know this is happening. They think cheap signs will deter this activity. But no one is being held accountable. Welcome to socialist Mayor Katie Wilson’s lawless city.
