Another 911 Call from Plymouth Housing

This is “Housing First” Another crazy incident at Plymouth Crossing in Bellevue’s Eastgate neighborhood Tuesday morning. 911 dispatchers say a call came in about a 65 year old woman in a wheelchair going on a bender. She was suspected of using meth or fentanyl. Just in the past couple weeks, the FactoriaLLS team has documented more than a dozen cases of fights, drug use, and other disturbances. There were likely more incidents that were missed. This Plymouth Housing/PorchLight campus triggers the most 911 calls in the city. Ladies and gentlemen, this is “Housing First” and “harm reduction” in action. Your taxpayer dollars are funding all this crime and chaos. This is what Bellevue Mayor Lynne Robinson voted for and what Read More ›

Governor Bob Ferguson Answers Questions About Homelessness Response

New I finally had an opportunity to ask Governor Bob Ferguson about Washington’s homeless crisis and the possibility of more federal funding cuts impacting the state’s response. Ferguson didn’t say policies like “Housing First” would be shelved. But he did double down the need for more fiscal responsibility and emphasized the importance of shoring up a “rainy day” fund.

Community Coalition Demands Action in Seattle’s Chinatown

“This Would Not Happen If This Were the Beautiful Waterfront” A brand new coalition is forming to defend Seattle’s Chinatown-ID. These community activists say politicians at the local and state level have failed them on public safety. They’re demanding more resources and attention to address crime, chaos, and death on the streets. Meanwhile, conditions in other parts of the city have improved. Which is why an elder went up to the podium today and torched Mayor Bruce Harrell by saying, “Mayor Harrell, he’s Asian American, does he give a sh*t? I don’t think so.” The Petition As I have reported now for the past year, Mayor Harrell is losing support in the CID because it has turned into a human Read More ›

Dave Reichert Tours Seattle Homeless Encampments and Drug Dens

Bob Ferguson Declined Invitation Earlier this year, I invited Bob Ferguson and Dave Reichert to tour Seattle’s drug dens and encampments. In my experience, the best leaders want to listen to the people on the frontlines in order to find the best solutions. Dave agreed but Bob declined.

Washington State Gubernatorial Candidate Dave Reichert Lays Out Plan to Tackle Homelessness

Tackling homelessness will be one of the top priorities for Republican gubernatorial candidate Dave Reichert and he’s laying out his game plan for Washington State. Meanwhile, Democratic front runner Bob Ferguson has yet to unveil his strategy on this crisis and he’s now being called out for being quiet. No Response from Bob Ferguson I reached out to Ferguson’s camp for comment but still no response. If they get back to me, I will update here. Reichert’s Homelessness Plan Reichert’s homelessness plan was unveiled in June. Now he’s calling on Gov. Inslee to craft an executive order to clear encampments like the one California Gov. Gavin Newsom just put into play. Dave Reichert Tours Seattle Encampments Earlier this year, I Read More ›
