NEW Seattle City Attorney Ann Davison just introduced aggressive public safety legislation to address the open-air drug dens in parts of downtown. The zones would be called a “Stay Out of Drug Area (SODA)” which includes the notorious 3rd Ave & Pike St. If anyone commits a drug related offense in that area, they won’t be able to come back. Meanwhile, the Downtown Seattle Association installed fencing to prevent drug addicts from using the alleyways. Breaking Tuesday evening, police removed a dead body from Town Square Park in downtown Burien. A witness says: “The guy’s body was found on the main staircase.” Coroner is still on the scene. Still no ID and cause of death unknown at this time. Just in the past few months, several homeless people have died of fentanyl overdoses near this park which is right next to Burien City Hall. This Happens Daily I just confronted a homeless fentanyl addict ransacking the Target store inside the Bellevue Marketplace at Factoria. I watched him fill his cart with stolen items and walk out. Workers say this happens daily. Mall security eventually stopped him but did not call cops to arrest him. Now you know why everyday household items are locked up.
