T-4 Days Until World Cup Comes to Seattle Just days before the FIFA World Cup in Seattle, someone is firing steel BB’s at homeless drug addicts near Dr. Jose Rizal Park. This area is just minutes from the stadium where soccer matches will be played. Neighbors say they are seeing a cluster of new tents after Wilson aggressively swept encampments near the downtown tourist corridor. The mayor is accused of trying to mask the city’s drug crisis by pushing addicts to other parts of the city like Beacon Hill, Chinatown-ID, and now the East Duwamish Greenbelt. As long as fans do not see the urban decay and human suffering, the Wilson administration likely believes that’s a win.

Mega Sweep Thursday morning, Seattle city crews went on a MEGA SWEEP and cleared out multiple drug encampments at Daejeon Park, Sturgus Park, Lewis Park, and even removed tents at Dr. Jose Rizal Park. This is all happening in the Beacon Hill hood. With the impending sweep, I visited some of the homies last night to find out what they were up to. One guy said he already had a tiny house and was just chilling at the encampment. Another fella said he wouldn’t take a tiny house since illegal drug use is allegedly banned. But we all know that’s not the case.

“There’s a Big Drug Dealer Down Here” After dozens of neighbor complaints about homeless drug addicts destroying Seattle’s Dr. Jose Rizal Park, the fencing is back up and major renovations are about to get started. But We Heart Seattle’s Andrea Suarez says the dealers and addicts are now moving further into wooded areas in Beacon Hill and the city is barely enforcing public camping laws in this area. Suarez is also calling out Seattle Parks Superintendent AP Diaz for being MIA.

Drug Addiction Overruns the City Streets Since the weekend, I have now counted more than 100 drug tents in Seattle’s Chinatown-ID and Beacon Hill neighborhoods which are next to each other. This is obviously an undercount since I can’t be everywhere. Drug addicts have also taken over Dr. Jose Rizal Park. Since outgoing Mayor Bruce Harrell has given up on the city, I am keeping a running list of encampments for Mayor-elect Katie Wilson. But it’s unclear if she will do anything about it. Btw, stop enabling these addicts by giving them free tents. The non-profits and virtue signaling Seattle residents are keeping vulnerable people on the streets. Update After being arrested multiple times and causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage to Seattle’s Dr. Jose Rizal Park, homeless man Steve Irwin is back on the streets. The legal system has failed to get Irwin the help he needs and now taxpayers are on the hook. Bail Reduced and Paid The city requested to maintain bail at the previously set amount of $5,000. But Judge Andrew Simons lowered the bail to $1,000. Irwin was bailed out by Daniel Roth Tenenbaum. Pretending to Enforce the Law This now signals to all homeless people that the City of Seattle will allow illegal camping and then burn through taxpayer dollars pretending to enforce the law.

Breaking Homeless man Steve Irwin was back in court Wednesday morning after being arrested again at Seattle’s Dr. Jose Rizal Park. He’s accused of violating his no trespass order by building an encampment in the woods. Cops accuse Irwin of destroying the park and says he needs to remain behind bars. Irwin’s public defender blamed the media for blowing this case out of proportion and wanted him released so he could stay with friends. Homeless outreach group We Heart Seattle begged Judge Damon Shadid to order Irwin into mental health treatment. Breaking Tuesday afternoon, Seattle Police arrested Steve Irwin again and led him out of Dr. Jose Rizal Park in handcuffs after he allegedly violated a court order banning him from public parks. Since 2023, this repeat offender has been arrested multiple times and charged for trespassing, stealing an excavator, and damaging park property. But King County activist judges keep lowering bail or releasing him with just a slap on the wrist. This is clearly the epitome of a broken system that is failing Irwin.
