Breaking Massive RV/vehicle clean up scheduled today for Green River Rd & 94th PL S. in unincorporated King County now delayed. Officials say @KCRHA needs more time for outreach. Frustrated neighbors say trash is everywhere and it’s being used as a “chop shop” for stolen cars. Unfairly Blamed People living here in vehicles say they have also seen cars without license plates dumped and stripped. Place has been an on going issue for neighbors and the owner of a nearby soccer field. They say area’s been cleared numerous times, but always comes back.
Well Done For more than a year, many of us have driven by this homeless encampment on the side of the road in Queen Anne. Just a few days ago, @weheartseattle cleaned up this entire area. Only one woman was living here at the time and they got her into a “Tiny House.” Well Oiled Machine @weheartfounder wasn’t even there when I showed. She was personally helping this homeless person transition. Otherwise, neighbors tired of waiting on city and county, now calling @weheartseattle to clean up abandoned homeless encampments. Eve of Massive Sweep Tuesday morning, Woodland Park will finally be cleared. Campers are scrambling to leave with help of outreach workers. This may be largest homeless encampment sweep under @MayorofSeattle. Area so massive, it is scheduled to happen over several days. On the Move @SeattleParks giving homeless campers rides out of Woodland Park today before Tuesday’s sweep. Several gracious campers spoke to me about their next steps.
