Residents Ready to Protest After Closure of Controversial Seattle Homeless Shelter Delayed

Breaking Chinatown-ID residents are furious and ready to protest after Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell delays closure of controversial DESC shelter for homeless drug addicts in Little Saigon. Community advocates say this “low barrier” facility is a magnet for crime, chaos, and death. Look at this hoard of addicts smoking and dealing fentanyl. “There is about 30 to 40 to 50 people — I can’t tell, they’re all massed together — standing right outside on the corner,” describes former City Councilmember Tanya Woo. Others are starting fires to stay warm on the corner of 12th Avenue and Weller Street. “They’re not really homeless people, they’re just people who are selling goods, buying stolen stuff, and then using drugs,” says community activist Read More ›

Drug Use and Black Market Activity Overwhelm Seattle’s Chinatown-ID

New Year, same problems in Seattle’s Chinatown-ID. The open air drug use and thriving black market of stolen goods is worse than ever. Over the weekend, cops cleared the streets several times. But all the madness is now back. Rinse and repeat. Expect more mom-and-pop businesses to exit the CID this year. Neighbors are also asking why elected officials, including Mayor Bruce Harrell, are allowing this marginalized community to become the city’s human dumping ground. The mayor remains MIA and the Asian American community is losing confidence in his leadership. Meanwhile, Tammy Morales quit on District 2 and officially exits the council this week. Her colleagues have until January 20 to find a replacement.

Seattle First Responders Save Fentanyl Addict from Overdose

Overdose City Early Sunday morning, first responders saved the life of a fentanyl addict tweaking at the corner of 12th Ave & Jackson St. in Seattle’s Little Saigon neighborhood. The protocol is transport them to Harborview Medical Center and then stabilize. But this woman will likely refuse treatment and be released back on the streets. Why do our politicians keep allowing this insane cycle to continue? Emergency Services Respond to Mental Health Emergency at Encampment Next to Seattle High School

Nothing Has Changed Monday afternoon, first responders raced to Seattle’s Chinatown-ID for another drug induced mental health freak out. Last week, I warned city leaders about this encampment across the street from Summit Sierra High. It’s littered with drug supplies, feces, and abandoned tents. Nothing has changed.

Seattle Times Finally Reports on Movement of Drug Addiction from Downtown to Chinatown

Seattle Times Finally Picks Up Story For months now I’ve been reporting on the movement of drug addicts from downtown Seattle to Chinatown-ID. The Seattle Times is finally jumping on this story. The squeeze is now on Mayor Bruce Harrell to do something about it. Councilmember Morales Quits Former Seattle Councilmember Tammy Morales left her district a mess. But she quit her post this month. So now sources say this Asian American community is getting ready to mobilize against Mayor Harrell if the crime and urban decay are not addressed.

Social Media Influencer Nick Shirley Chased While Touring Seattle’s Chinatown

Chased Sunday evening, social media influencer Nick Shirley was chased by a broomstick wielding maniac in Seattle’s Chinatown-ID during a YouTube livestream. Then a fentanyl addict cracked my phone at the notorious 12th Ave & Jackson St drug den. We got more coverage on the way. This part of the city is dying. Here’s a preview. Open-Air Drug Use Mentally ill tweakers were also running wild through the CID this weekend. Drug Addiction and Mental Illness in Hing Hay Park Hing Hay Park is a disaster. Encampment Across from High School Homeless drug addicts have also ripped through a fence and are now setting up an encampment right across the street from Summit Sierra High School in Chinatown-ID.

Black Market Thrives in Seattle’s Little Saigon

As holiday shoppers pack downtown Seattle’s retail core, Little Saigon is dying. The only thing thriving here is the black market of stolen goods and the drug deals. Councilmember Tammy Morales virtue signals from the council dais and says she stands for BIPOC communities. But apparently Asian Americans are the wrong minority and are not deserving of her help. Morales’ CID district is on life support but she is nowhere to be found. I think it’s time for Mayor Bruce Harrell to finally follow through and clean up this neighborhood for good. The rest of downtown is getting activated, but part of that equation apparently means dump all the drug addicts and homeless in one of the most vulnerable minority Read More ›

Drug Addicts Set Up Encampment Across from Seattle High School

Happening Now Homeless drug addicts have ripped through a fence and are now setting up an encampment right across the street from Summit Sierra High School in Chinatown-ID. Last year, I first told you about all the open-air drug use and crime disrupting student life in the area. Sadly, nothing has changed. Councilmember Tammy Morales was MIA then. She remains MIA today. Her District-2 is a disaster. She voted against all the CID public safety amendments this year. It’s almost like she wants this neighborhood to fail.
