Cops Called to Plymouth Housing…Again

They Said It Would Be Safe It’s a daily occurrence at Bellevue’s Plymouth Housing/Porchlight campus. On Monday, witnesses say two people got into an argument at Plymouth and one woman brandished a knife. No one was injured. Tons of cops were called again, draining resources and taxpayer dollars from the community. This is “permanent supportive housing” in action. The crime, chaos, and death continues. City and county politicians lied to the community when they said it would be safe. Now it’s becoming a PR nightmare for them because residents are finally demanding change.

Plymouth Chaos: Resident Arrested, and Murder Suspect Still on the Loose

Plymouth Resident Threatens Staff Bellevue’s Plymouth Housing/Porchlight campus continues to be a cancer on the community. On Sunday, a non-verbal Plymouth resident allegedly made terroristic threats. He scribbled on the wall that he would shoot staff with a pistol and held a weapon in his hand. Arrestee Known for Spitting and Kicking People Cops later determined the “weapon” was actually a lighter. They arrested him on the spot. Witnesses say the man is Merrell James Gorham and is wheelchair bound. He is known for spitting and kicking people. He’s also been trespassed at numerous area businesses. Awful: Kilmeade Says “Just Kill” Mentally Ill Homeless Who Refuse Help

The following was originally written by Wesley J. Smith, Chair and Senior Fellow of Discovery Institute’s Center on Human Exceptionalism. Discovery Institute’s Fix Homelessness team condemns the statements made by Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade, and endorses the following condemnation by Smith. Homelessness is a crisis in our major cities. But we have to always remember that people who are homeless have equal intrinsic dignity as all other human beings. That is why I was appalled that — in a recent discussion about the atrocious murder of Iryna Zarutska by a mentally ill homeless man — Fox News personality Brian Kilmeade said that if the mentally ill homeless don’t accept hospitalization, they should be, well, killed. Yes. He actually said that. Read More ›

Seattle’s Occidental Square Filled with Brand New Tents

Happening Now More than 20 homeless drug addicts are sleeping in Seattle’s Occidental Square Friday evening. If you look closer, most have brand new tents and sleeping bags. One guy says “mutual aid” comes every weekend to feed them, supply them, and offer free “harm reduction” supplies like meth pipes and fentanyl foil. Now you know why these men and women have zero incentive to get off the streets. They are treated like spoiled children. The far-left activists are essentially keeping them in their suffering instead of offering them a way out into treatment and recovery. The mayor should really know what’s happening on his streets.

Seattle Closes Seven Hills Park in Attempt to Control Homeless Encampment

More Park Closures Another Seattle Park temporarily closed because of homeless drug addicts. This time it’s Seven Hills Park in Capitol Hill. The park at the corner of E. Howell St and 16th Ave. has been cleared out more than a dozen times in the past four years.

The Consequential Link in Ending Street Chaos: Compassion Plus Accountability

America’s streets have reached a breaking point. Encampments sprawl across sidewalks, untreated mental illness and addiction fuel disorder, and public spaces once vibrant with life have become zones of despair. President Donald Trump’s recent executive orders—Ending Disorder on America’s Streets and Addressing Crime and Beautification in D.C.—finally confront this decade-long humanitarian crisis head-on. By directing federal resources to dismantle encampments and enforce laws against public disorder, these orders mark a long-overdue acknowledgement: the nation’s crisis is one of homelessness, but also one of public safety, public health, and human dignity. For too long, progressive policies have allowed the sickest among us to deteriorate before our eyes, abandoned in the name of “compassion.” The president’s bold actions open the door to Read More ›

Seattle Mayoral Candidate Katie Wilson Answers Questions About Sweeps

Exclusive Over the weekend, I confronted Seattle mayoral candidate Katie Wilson about her Transit Riders Union’s ties to controversial far-left activist group Stop The Sweeps Seattle. They’ve been a thorn in the side of Mayor Bruce Harrell since the beginning of his administration. The groups were making so-called “harm reduction” kits for homeless drug addicts which usually includes meth pipes and fentanyl foil. Some critics call these “suicide kits” and believe it enables drug addiction and death. I also asked Wilson if she would use sweeps to clear drug encampments in the city. Wilson Believes in Harm Reduction It’s unclear if Wilson attended this volunteer event. But she has stated in the past that she believes in the “harm reduction” Read More ›

Community Members Launch We Heart Lake City After Double Murder in Public Park

Taking Matters Into Their Own Hands After years of failure and neglect under Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell and certain city councilmembers, an insurgent group of Lake City neighbors are now turning to We Heart Seattle for help. They’re taking matters into their own hands and forming a community coalition to address homeless drug encampments and crime before it’s too late. The recent murders at Virgil Flaim Park pushed them over the edge and they’re now preparing to publicly shame politicians into action.
