Down the Street from the World Cup, Another Overdose

A Frustrated Community Another drug overdose in Seattle’s Chinatown-ID just minutes from the FIFA World Cup watch party at Hing Hay Park. I did my usual rounds at 12th Ave & Jackson St where first responders revived the fentanyl addict. As frustrated neighbors stepped around the unconscious man, an entitled junkie got in my face and tried to stop me from recording. Thank God an SPD officer broke things up before the situation escalated. Then a neighbor getting off the bus yelled, “stop rescuing him, he’s just going to OD down the street.” The frustration is palpable. CID is a powder keg about to explode. Meanwhile, socialist Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson is MIA.

The Spread of Open-Air Drug Use in Seattle

No Enforcement Homeless drug addicts in Seattle already own 12th Ave & Jackson St in Chinatown-ID. But they’re now trying to capture the corner of 12th Ave & Lane St. Mayor Katie Wilson is MIA and has abandoned this part of the city. Humanitarian Crisis As Seattle prepares for another World Cup game this afternoon, look at the humanitarian crisis happening in Chinatown-ID just a few minutes away. Mayor Katie Wilson has pushed all the homeless drug addicts into this Asian-American neighborhood so tourists don’t have to see the carnage. That’s why community leaders are protesting the mayor this afternoon, demanding immediate change. Meanwhile, a drug addict tells me he could be a victim of tranq fentanyl. His leg is Read More ›

Drug Hotspots Just as Lively as Ever After Seattle Mayor Says Activity “No Longer Tolerated”

Zero Enforcement Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson lied to the people of Chinatown-ID. Just last week Wilson said, “We will no longer tolerate open-air drug sale and use and vending stolen goods.” But late Friday evening, dozens of homeless drug addicts returned to 12th Ave & Jackson St. They’ve turned this corner into a drug den. No police enforcement. The mayor is accused of using this Asian-American neighborhood as a human dumping ground and containment zone for the city. Whatever it takes to protect World Cup fans. Mayor’s Statement Here is her entire statement to the CID and North Beacon Hill neighbors. It’s all on the record.

More Police Presence in Seattle’s Crime Hotspots Following Mayor’s Strong Statement

Foot Patrols Clear Criminal Activity Crime hotspots and drug dens in Seattle’s Chinatown-ID are now seeing more police foot patrols this weekend. This is clearly in response to the community outrage directed at Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson. She’s accused of pushing homeless drug addicts into this Asian American neighborhood so World Cup fans feel safer in the downtown tourist corridor. But what happens after World Cup matches end and tourists leave the city?

Seattle Mayor Says Open-Air Drug Use “No Longer Tolerated”

Will She Follow Through? After Discovery Institute’s report on Seattle’s ongoing street crisis, Mayor Katie Wilson is finally admitting open-air fentanyl use and the black market of stolen goods in Chinatown-ID and North Beacon Hill are off the charts. Wilson now says arrests will be an option and lawless behavior will no longer be tolerated. We’ll have to wait and see. But I applaud Wilson if she follows through. This could save lives.

Black Market of Stolen Goods and Open-Air Drug Use Thrive in Seattle’s Chinatown

Tiny Homes Won’t Solve This Problem Sunday evening, the drug den at the corner of 12th Ave & Jackson St in Seattle’s Chinatown-ID is spiraling out of control. A hoard of addicts are flipping stolen items on the sidewalk which is just a blocks away from Summit Sierra High School. Who needs a bassinet or brand new Nikes? This has nothing to do with homelessness. The vast majority of people out here have housing and are using the streets as a hang out. Constructing tiny houses will not solve this problem. There is no way Mayor Katie Wilson will be able to contain this disaster by building more wooden shacks. Too bad City Attorney Erika Evans refuses to prosecute open-air Read More ›

Bellevue Citizens Tired of Supermarket Thefts, Step in Themselves to Deter Crime

Taking Matters into Their Own Hands Bellevue resident Quintin Chi and concerned neighbors have started a community watch at local grocery stores in the city. They say places like Walgreens, Fred Meyer, and QFC supermarkets are being ransacked every night by homeless drug addicts. Chi says the crooks then board a bus to Seattle and sell the stolen items at the notorious 12th Ave & Jackson St. drug den in Chinatown-ID. While store workers commend these good samaritans, Chi says he’s frustrated because Bellevue PD calls them vigilantes and recently advised them not to get involved in criminal apprehensions.

Small Businesses Struggle, Black Market of Stolen Goods Thrives in Seattle’s Chinatown

“We Call Every Week, But They Just Keep Ignoring” Christmas shopping is underway in downtown Seattle. But if you are looking for a good deal on stolen items, head to Chinatown-ID. Late Saturday evening, 12th Ave & Jackson St remains a total train wreck. Drug addicts are passed out in vestibules, the mentally ill are flailing in the streets, and cops are driving by without enforcing the law. The vast majority of the people admit they are not homeless. They are here to score drugs. Outgoing Mayor Bruce Harrell has failed this Asian American community after pushing “Housing First” and “harm reduction” policies that are not working. He allowed this neighborhood to turn into a containment zone and human dumping Read More ›

Breaking A shooting in Seattle’s Little Saigon neighborhood sent people running for cover late Friday afternoon. Witnesses say a White male unloaded several shots from a car window, targeting another man near the corner of the problematic 12th Ave & Jackson St intersection. Seattle Times Finally Reports on Movement of Drug Addiction from Downtown to Chinatown

Seattle Times Finally Picks Up Story For months now I’ve been reporting on the movement of drug addicts from downtown Seattle to Chinatown-ID. The Seattle Times is finally jumping on this story. The squeeze is now on Mayor Bruce Harrell to do something about it. Councilmember Morales Quits Former Seattle Councilmember Tammy Morales left her district a mess. But she quit her post this month. So now sources say this Asian American community is getting ready to mobilize against Mayor Harrell if the crime and urban decay are not addressed.
