Jon Scholes Speaks Out Downtown Seattle Association President & CEO Jon Scholes is feeling emboldened. He called out all the defund the police activists and politicians for allowing the urban decay and crime to flourish in parts of the city. All the reasonable people of Seattle agree.
NEW Seattle City Attorney Ann Davison just introduced aggressive public safety legislation to address the open-air drug dens in parts of downtown. The zones would be called a “Stay Out of Drug Area (SODA)” which includes the notorious 3rd Ave & Pike St. If anyone commits a drug related offense in that area, they won’t be able to come back. Meanwhile, the Downtown Seattle Association installed fencing to prevent drug addicts from using the alleyways.
