This blight is being blamed for sex trafficking, thefts, drug OD’s, and is home to an accused murder suspect. NEW Seattle City Attorney Ann Davison just introduced aggressive public safety legislation to address the open-air drug dens in parts of downtown. The zones would be called a “Stay Out of Drug Area (SODA)” which includes the notorious 3rd Ave & Pike St. If anyone commits a drug related offense in that area, they won’t be able to come back. Meanwhile, the Downtown Seattle Association installed fencing to prevent drug addicts from using the alleyways.
